Who we are

Rack 9 (rack9pool.com) is an independent pro pool news site based in Connecticut, USA. Questions about this policy or your information go to service@rack9pool.com.

What we collect

• Your email address, if you sign up. When you join the Rack 9 email list, we store your email address, the date you signed up and the page you signed up from. The list is kept in a Google Sheet (Google Workspace) that only Rack 9 can open.
• Basic technical data. Like any website, our host, Cloudflare, processes technical information to deliver and protect the site: your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. If we turn on Cloudflare Web Analytics, we see totals such as page views, countries and device types. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't tell us who you are.
• Fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google's servers to get them, so Google receives your IP address. Google's own privacy policy covers that.

We don't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or cross-site tracking. Our host may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site from bots.

How we use it

We use your email address only to send the Rack 9 email (scores, Power Rankings, events and what to watch) and the occasional important note about Rack 9. We use technical data to keep the site running, secure and fast, and to understand which pages people read.

What we don't do

• We don't sell, rent or trade your email address.
• We don't give our list to sponsors. Sponsors may appear on the site or in our emails, but they never receive your information. Sponsored content is clearly labeled.

Who helps us

We rely on a few service providers, and each handles data under its own privacy terms: Cloudflare hosts the site, Google stores the email list and serves our fonts, and, when we start sending emails, an email delivery service will hold the list to send them. We'll name that service here when we choose one.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After that we remove it from the list within 30 days.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any Rack 9 email, or by emailing service@rack9pool.com. You can also ask what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. We'll respond within 30 days.

Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California), you may have more rights, such as objecting to how we use your data or complaining to your local data protection authority. Where those laws apply, we rely on your consent to email you, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Rack 9 links to tours, streaming services and other news sites. Their privacy policies apply once you leave rack9pool.com.

Children

Rack 9 isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete it.

Security

Only Rack 9 can access the email list. Our providers protect data with industry-standard security, but no method of storing or sending data online is 100% secure.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email address, we'll tell subscribers by email.
