Philippines Open 2026 draw: Yapp, Biado, Gorst and the full first-round matchups

The 128-player draw is out for the Philippines Open, which starts Tuesday in Quezon City. Defending champion David Alcaide opens against Rodlin John Bautista, and it is the last event that counts toward Mosconi Cup qualifying.

The World Nineball Tour moves straight from Makati to Quezon City. The 2026 Philippines Open runs October 20–24 at Gateway Mall, two days after Rest of the World won the Reyes Cup. The draw is out: 128 players, single elimination.

Rounds one through six are races to 10, and the final is a race to 11. Round 1 is spread over October 20 and 21, and the semi-finals and final are on October 24. The prize fund is $100,000:

He beat Arseni Sevastyanov of Finland in the final, and beat Robbie Capito 11–4 in the semi-finals along the way. This year Alcaide opens against Rodlin John Bautista, and Sevastyanov plays Orlyn Biteranta.

Why it matters for the Mosconi Cup

The Philippines Open is the last event that counts toward Mosconi Cup qualifying, according to the World Nineball Tour. The Mosconi Cup follows November 27–30, so results this week decide who makes the team. Rack 9 will follow the qualifying picture on the Power Rankings page.

What to watch for

  • Whether Alcaide can repeat in his second Philippines Open.
  • How the Reyes Cup players handle the quick turnaround. Sánchez Ruiz, Van Boening, Capito, Gorst, Pecelj and Souquet all played in Makati.
  • Home support: Biado, Chua, Regalario, Roda, Manas and a big Philippine field are playing in front of local crowds.
  • Who earns the last Mosconi Cup qualifying points.

How to watch

WNT TV carries the event worldwide, and One Sports covers it in the Philippines. The full broadcast list is on the Where to Watch page. Live scores and the full bracket are on WNT Live Scores, which needs a free login.

Rack 9 will add results as they come in. Check the Events page for the schedule.
